Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the world’s most iconic trekking destinations. Standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level, this majestic free-standing volcano is located in northern Tanzania and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every year, thousands of adventurers from around the world travel to Tanzania to conquer the “Roof of Africa” and experience its breathtaking landscapes.

The mountain consists of three volcanic cones—Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira—with Uhuru Peak on Kibo being the highest point. Climbers journey through five distinct climate zones, beginning in lush tropical rainforest, continuing through heath and moorland, alpine desert, and finally reaching the glacier-covered Arctic summit. This remarkable change in scenery makes Kilimanjaro one of the most unique trekking experiences on Earth.
