Lake manyara National Park
Where the Forest Meets the Flamingos
Overview
Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara National Park is a compact yet incredibly diverse paradise in northern Tanzania. Though small compared to other parks, it offers lush groundwater forests, open savannas, hot springs, and a shimmering alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos. It’s one of the best spots in Tanzania for scenic beauty and close-up wildlife encounters — ideal for short safaris or as part of the Northern Circuit (with Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti).
